Bright Sunshiny Day

What’s interesting about the human experience is how we get into routines. That’s the best way to describe my life right now. I am now approaching 8 months of doing the same thing every day, which hasn’t happened since I began college. Now that college is over I’ve been getting less done (in sheer volume of things), on average, than I used to. It’s strange how having lots more time to spare can actually trick your brain into doing less; without the pressure of assignments, upcoming tests, or other deadlines relating to school and with large chunks of time assigned to no immediate or emergent purpose my brain thinks it has time to just simply shut off after I get home from work (which time technically it does have, but there’s lots I used to actually do with those timeslots). It’s quite relaxing, if somewhat unproductive.
This would be an opportune time to insert some paragraph about redeeming the time, but I have an overwhelming urge to take a nap right now.

Fade to White

Snowboarding season is coiled in the corner like a large cat, waiting to pounce upon us. The difference between this and the type of cat that might make an attempt on your life is that this cat is nothing but a purring fuzzball of love. Yes that’s right, very shortly the great army of Michigan’s snow machines will start cranking, churning the air with stinging little bits of water which will then land as a particularly icy form of snow. Isn’t winter great?
In other news, it’s rumored that a large amount of democrats won elections recently. No my friends, the world is not ending. No, the country isn’t going to hell in a handbasket any faster than it was before. No, I don’t like Jennifer Granholm’s mole. All I know about her is that she owes me alot of money.
