Cool Tapes

12:14 pm | My Life | Pictures | Random

No tapes, just pictures.

Took a walk with a friend into GVSU’s ravine a few days ago. I’ve never been down there before, and it reminded me of my youth when we would go into the woods and come out covered in mud calling it the best day ever.

The fact that I fit my ever-growing drum set into my room is a modern miracle for which I shall no doubt be sainted after my death by the Roman Catholic church.

The lockers in the Calder art building are pretty big.

That first picture looks like our backyard.

it’s just your basic 5 piece setup really, without (good) cymbals currently. single pedal right now but i’d like to get a double soon.

Heres a double kick by Pulse for 80. I don’t know if it is worth it. You might want to try one out at Guitar Center:

And one by Pacific Drums. (They make good hardware, junk shells and cymbals in my opinion)

Just an idea for cheap money. Not sure if those are worth it. But whatever…

Either the locker is big or you and your drumset are really small. That locker IS your bedroom, right? Must go deeper than it looks considering there’s a drumset in there. You know, you and your Lilliputian drum set spam blocked me. Kind a funny considering I put fake spam on your random chat.

well as of right now everybody is blocked from randomchat. the pedals look good, i’ll have to see if any of the crappy music stores around GR have them.

No I haven’t. I would think that they are alright at delivery though. But you want to play these things first. Sometimes drum stuff is junky if its not real expensive. But go to a Guitar Center and print the thing from Muscians Friend out. Take it to them and they should match the deal. But most GC employees are pot heads that wish their band was big but never made it. I’ll check to see if there is a GC around you.
